AFN meeting: Adegoke and Nwokocha claims 100metres glory

Enoch and Grace Win at Athletics Federation of Nigeria Evaluation Competition(AFN) Enoch Adegoke and Grace Nwokocha claimed the men and women’s 100m titles respectively at the Athletics Federation of Nigeria Evaluation Competition held at the Federal University of Technology, Akure on Saturday. The event, which had the Minister of Sports and Youth Development, Sunday Dare, in attendance, was organised by the Olamide George-led faction of the AFN. Adegoke, who also won the AFN All Comers event at the same venue with a World Lead time in January, claimed a second victory with a time of 10.36s ahead of Fakorede Adekalu and Jerry Jakpa in second and third places respectively, with a time of 10.51s and 10.57s. Nwokocha beat Joy Udo-Gabriel and Praise Idamadudu to second and third positions respectively with a Personal Best time of 11.23s, with Udo-Gabriel clocking 11.64s and Idamadudu returning in 11.67s.
